Sheridan WYO Rodeo Scholarship
All 2011 Sheridan County graduating high school seniors are invited to apply for the three (3) $1,000 Sheridan WYO Rodeo scholarships. Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Sheridan County in spring of 2011 and have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00. Application deadline is Saturday, April 30, 2011 and requirements, instructions and the applications are available here or by calling Sheridan WYO Rodeo Central at 672-9715.
Over the past 20 years, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo has awarded over $48,000 to deserving Sheridan County students. "We are proud to be involved in the education of today's youth," said Sheridan WYO Rodeo Board Secretary, Vicki Kane. "As a college education becomes ever more expensive, the WYO Rodeo is pleased to be able to help area seniors pursue their studies."
2010 Sheridan WYO Rodeo Scholarship Recipients
“Jr.” Kane (GPA 4.00)
2010 graduate of Big Horn High School, plans to attend the University of Montana, Missoula MT, majoring in Physical Therapy and Athletic Training. Jr.’s parents are Vicki Kane and P.J. Kane.
Michael Leibrich (GPA 3.741)
2010 graduate of Sheridan High School, plans to attend the University of Wyoming, Laramie WY, and plans to major in Mechanical Engineering. Michael’s parents are Bob and Ladonna Leibrich.
Seth Stadick (GPA 3.946)
2010 graduate of Sheridan High School, plans to attend John Hopkins University, Baltimore MD, majoring in the Field of Medicine. Seth’s parents are Steve and Sara Stadick.
