The Sheridan WYO Rodeo 89th Annual Sheridan WYO Rodeo parade theme is Saddle Up for the WYO Rodeo, and CHAPS will be the Grand Marshall.

The WYO Rodeo Main Street parade starts at 10 a.m. on Friday of WYO Rodeo Week, July 12, 2019. It’s a local holiday, where folks take the first half of the day off (at least!) to enjoy all of the activities on offer downtown. Following the Friday morning pancake breakfast, Boots & Spurs 5K, and Main Street Bed Races, fans of all ages line the streets with friends and family, sitting on lawn chairs they set up days in advance. Once the parade begins, kids eagerly await the floats and maybe a little candy along the way.

Hundreds participate with elaborate hometown floats, restored vintage cars and handsome horses. There’s always a stunning American Indian cultural display included as well – which is often a prelude to the POW WOW that happens in Sheridan later that day. It’s easy to see why, year-after-year, Sheridan WYO Rodeo’s Main Street parade is one of the top parades in Wyoming and the Rocky Mountain West.

Parade applications are available at and are due by Friday, June 28. We’d like to thank Century 21 BHJ for joining us again as our Main Street Parade sponsor.
