Sheridan High School graduates Quinton Brooks, Aeriana Roth and Aaron Woodward have been selected to receive the 2018 Sheridan WYO Rodeo Scholarships. Each student has been awarded $1,000 towards their post-secondary education. Roth plans to attend the University of Wyoming to study STEM-related studies, Woodward also plans to attend the University of Wyoming, but for dentistry or business. Every Thursday night at the annual WYO Rodeo is Pink Night, when Sheridan Hospital hands out FREE pink bandanas and sells limited edition King Ropes caps to raise funds for early cancer screening and detection programs for patients at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. To support the cause, visit us near the box office behind the grandstands! Hats always sell out quickly, so be sure to visit us when you arrive for that night's festivities.

For more than 25 years, the Sheridan WYO Rodeo has been supporting higher education in Sheridan County by awarding scholarships. Each year, three Sheridan County students win a $1,000 scholarship. Our next round of applications are due April 5, 2019, and all students who apply must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and be admitted to an accredited institution of higher education. For the fourth year running, the WYO Rodeo board is pleased to announce that Dana Bowman, Sgt. First Class (Ret.), is joining us for a spectacular Star-Spangled parachute demonstration to help kick off all four nights of the PRCA-sanctioned Sheridan WYO Rodeo.
